Birthmothers Ministry
A Friend loves at all times. This is the call of the Birthmothers ministry, which serves women and families who face an unplanned pregnancy. Birthmothers trains volunteer "Friends" to offer one-on-one emotional, spiritual and practical support for birth moms and birth dads. Visit the Birthmothers page here for more info.

Columbia Baptist Food Pantry: Every Saturday from 9:30 am to 12 noon Columbia Baptist, located less than a mile away from the church at 301 North Washington Street, provides prayer and a week of groceries to families in need. The church is in need of volunteers to help with a variety of things such as loading up food bags and hand out food to families. No skill required just a heart to do the work. Falls Church Community Service Council
Delivering groceries to needy families in Falls Church: FCCSC volunteers pick up and deliver groceries to needy families in the Falls Church neighborhood. If you are interested in helping please contact Linda Rice Johnston at (703) 560-6288, (703) 536-5353, or ricejohnston@verizon.net.
Thanksgiving Basket Ministry: Volunteers prepare and deliver Thanksgiving baskets for low income children and families who reside in local falls church area.

Falls Church Emergency Shelter
Open December-March. Prepare an evening meal for the residents or volunteer to be at the shelter for a weekend shift.

Falls Church Housing Corporation

Gleaning: On Saturdays during the fall, volunteers go into the fields to glean fruits or vegetables that are being donated by a local orchard owner or farmer. Produce is gathered in bags and then distributed to area shelters, food banks, church food pantries, low-income neighborhoods, soup kitchens and public housing facilities for the elderly. All ages can assist is this opportunity to serve. Gleaning requires about two hours of work plus travel time to the orchard or farm. This program is sponsored through the Washington Area Gleaning Network (W.A.G.N.). If you are interested in helping to organize a trip, please contact Nar Taing at ntaing@tfcanglican.org.

Just Neighbors
Volunteers provide compassion and ethical legal counsel at monthly immigration clinics for low-income immigrants and refugees in our community from around the world. Volunteers are needed once a month to meet with clients to conduct intake interviews. Spanish translators are especially welcome.

Meals on Wheels: Once a month Fall Church Anglican volunteers pick up hot lunches and bag dinners at George Marshall High School in Falls Church and deliver them to Fall Church residents who are disabled or disadvantaged. This service takes about two hours. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Janet at janetcan2@gmail.com.
Safe Haven
The First Thursdays of every month TFCA's Seniors and Outreach ministries prepare and serve lunch to the homeless and working poor. @thefallschurch.org.) If you are unable to serve on Thursdays you can still volunteer Safe Haven to serve meals on Tuesdays.
