Volunteer opportunities

Service is an integral part of our faith journey. We hope you will walk with us as we walk alongside others here at TFC (our "Jerusalem"), in the local DC metro area (our "Judea and Samaria"), and around the world ("to the ends of the earth"). 

TFC produces free booklets titled Serving Through The Falls Church, which are located around the church. Pick one up the next time you're at church to see the full list of volunteer opportunities. The list below only highlights some areas at TFC needing volunteers.

Serving... in the TFC Young Adult Ministry

Small Groups, Discipleship Groups, & Mentoring
... host or lead a small group.  You let us know the type of group you want to facilitate, or the location where you can host a group. We start new groups periodically through the year. Email Jackie.

... mentor and/or disciple young adults.  Are you an older adult with a heart for discipling young adults? Email Jackie to discuss possibilities.

Serving... at The Falls Church

Sunday Worship Services
... join an Audio/Visual team.  All training is provided - run the PPT, work the sound system, help with photography or videography, and more. Volunteers are scheduled according to their availability. Contact Andrew Schooley.

... calling musicians.  Each TFC worship service offers a different flavor of worship and liturgy. Get info on the TFC Choirs by emailing Anna Swynford. Get info the TFC Worship Band by emailing Jamie Brown.

... welcome our newcomers.  All you need is a smile! You can greet at the door or help at the Welcome Table after the service to greet newcomers personally. Contact Erin O'Keefe.

... be involved with Holy Communion.  Training is provided to serve communion, or help us by ushering during communion. Contact Anna Swynford.
Sunday Morning Kid Connection
... help Children's Ministry!  Volunteers are always needed to lead classes, help the teachers, greet the children, and more. See Jane Webb to help out.

Serving... Your Local Community (northern VA & DC)

TFC Local Outreach provides numerous opportunities around your local area. Contact Nar Taing for more info on any opportunities. Opportunities include...

Serving... The Global Community

TFC sponsors many long-term and short-term missionaries, and we invite you to get involved in a mission trip or in support of our global mission work. Contact Shireen David for more info.

    Sponsor a child at the Akiba School in Kenya, purchase handmade jewelry or pottery at our International Bazaars, and more.
