“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.” (1 John 3:16)
Serve with TFCA's Local Outreach
Are you looking for a way to serve in the local community? TFCA's Local Outreach team have designed several programs that help our parish serve our neighbors. Check out the programs listed below and join the TFCA Local Outreach team in serving our Falls Church neighbors!
|Christmas Service Opportunities:
Here are several ways that you can serve our community this Christmas.
‘Tax Help’ Program
Annually, TFCA serves our community by providing free tax filing assistance to low income families in the community. Last season, TFCA assisted with 116 returns and the amount saved in refunds for these families totaled $298,439!
The program runs Saturdays, January 25 – April 12, from 10am – 2pm. All volunteers will be trained and IRS certified. Uncomfortable with providing Tax Help? Volunteers are needed for other roles too!
How you can serve: Greeters Needed! Greeters are needed to welcome Tax Help guests and help them fill out forms, before they meet with a Tax Preparer. Can you help greet on 3- 4 Saturdays during the Program? We would love to have you join our Tax Help Team!
Other ways to serve: help prepare taxes, become a greeter or hostess, assist with translation (Spanish speakers much needed), or assist with program coordination.
