Here’s what students have to say about our classes:

“I am so thankful for the ESOL program. I am improving my English and have now got a great new job whereas before I was trying and trying and never getting better jobs. I like being here in the church. When I meet with my conversation partner, why meet at a coffee shop when we can meet here [at TFC] where it is so comfortable? You know my English is still the biggest problem that I am facing now. I hope I can handle [my new job]. But the good news is that I feel I finally began to enjoy my life in America.” - Student from China
“In my opinion, I really enjoy my English class. Thanks to the English staff for being kind and always helping us in many ways.” - Student from Ecuador
“Everyone here is very friendly. In the USA we have many freedoms. When I am able to speak English well, I feel equal to everybody else.” - Student from Vietnam
“I like that my class is here at the church and I [anyone] can come to church every week.” - Student from Bulgaria
"You Christians are nice," said a student from China. "You are much nicer than most people." Our volunteer told this student that we are not always nice, that we are human and that we are not perfect, but we know we have a savior in Jesus Christ and that makes us care about strangers."
"When we had the meeting to tell the students about moving out of the building, I one student from Bolivia commented: "If we can move from our countries all the way to the US, then we can handle moving to another building!"
