Audio/Visual Teams
Each weekend, there are seven worship services in either The Falls Church's Main Sanctuary or Historic Church. Every week, there are classes, seminars, and other events across our campus. It's our challenge and joy to ensure that all of the varying demands that come with such an active and worshipping congregation are met.

Below are a few of the ways you can become involved in this part of church life:

A/V Team Administration
Persons serving in this area aid the administration and growth of the various developing A/V teams. Assistance in scheduling, recruiting and other administrative details helps grow teams needed to revolutionize the operations of the church.

Sound Engineering
Sound engineers and technicians are responsible for making sure the congregation can actively and confidently participate in worship by skillfully mixing the music (whether it be a worship team, choir, orchestra or soloist), making sure the voices of the service's leader and preacher can be heard, and by being ready for the unpredictable. Assistants perform crucial tasks such as checking microphones and cables, and operating recording equipment.

Projectionists
Many of our services use projection of various items (lyrics, notes, prayers) to enable the congregation to have their hands free during the singing, to read more easily, and to save paper, among other benefits.  The congregation relies upon the projectionist's timely display of these items to stay engaged during the service.

Setup and Strike Teams
We serve our musicians and our congregation at each service by setting out and putting away equipment, mics, cabling, staging, and by keeping the affected areas of the sanctuaries looking clean and presentable.  Some of us assist outside of worship services with setups for classes and other events.

Equipment and Storage Maintenance
We work to keep TFC's wide variety of equipment and storage spaces in top operational and accessible condition.  Our work involves a variety of tasks, from organizing or cleaning spaces to repairing cables, connectors, and even components.

Documentary Film Production Team
The Falls Church is increasingly dedicated to telling the great diversity of stories common in this church family. We are developing a team (no experience necessary) passionate about spreading the stories of God's work among our common life and the mission work with which we are involved.

Photography Team
The Falls Church is increasingly committed to documenting well its church life and mission efforts. We would benefit greatly from a team of amateur and professional photographers dedicated to telling the stories of church life.

Audio Post-Production
We ensure quality sermon and teaching recordings which are easy to listen to, by checking each one on our editing workstation and adjusting the sound quality when needed.  In addition to the weekly sermons, conferences and seminars each have their own set of talks.  The Audio Post-Production team enables the church to offer more recordings to the public each year.

Sermon Duplication
God has blessed The Falls Church with gifted, Christ-centered teaching for decades. We want to make sure as many people as possible are able to hear the teachings given by our pastors.

If you have a heart to help us serve the congregation in any of these areas, contact Andrew Schooley (email), 571-282-6224 (phone).
