Some of the most important questions a person can ask as they grow into young adulthood are: who is Jesus, what do I believe about him, and what am I going to do about it? If your 6th-8th grade student is asking these types of questions about Jesus, and they are exploring what it looks like to commit themselves to Christ in a deeper way through Baptism and/or Holy Communion, this three-week course is for them. They’ll learn about the core truths of the Christian faith, what it means to follow Jesus in this season of their life, and how Baptism and Holy Communion are a powerful, important part of their personal relationship with the Lord and their faith journey.

Participants who have already been baptized and who are now seeking to be prepared to participate in Holy Communion will receive a First Communion card upon completion of the class that they may present when taking Communion for the first time.

Participants who have not previously been baptized will be eligible for their Baptism clergy interview upon completion of this class, and after being baptized will be ready to receive Holy Communion as well.

The class will be taught by Pastor John Frederick.  Attendance is expected for all three sessions.  Parents are encouraged, but not required, to attend class with their student(s).  Please register by Thursday, September 18.
