Brave Enough to Lift the Veils: Finding the Freedom God Wants for You
Presented by Eleni Jakub and Lesley Hackman

“We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of God, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18)

Veils that we wear prevent us from beholding and reflecting the glory of God, and they keep us from becoming the women God created us to be. Many of us wear veils of shame, fear, lies and resentment. Are you brave enough to engage with the Lord and let Him heal your heart, transform your mind, and set you free? Are you brave enough to put down those things which weigh you down and prevent you from achieving the intimacy you want with God and others? This interactive and prophetic workshop will set you on the healing path of God.

Brave Enough to Bridge Cultural Divides

Thursday, January 17, 7:15-9:00 p.m., 6565 third floor in the Back40

Presented by Christine Buchholz, Linda Doornbosch, Maralee Gutierrez and Marci Nelson

Have you ever felt like you might want to connect with someone - perhaps someone different from you - but you weren't sure where to begin or your were afraid of saying the wrong thing? Come hear from women who have experienced the richness of God’s Kingdom through relationships that bridge cultural divides. They will share about the power of the Holy Spirit, perspectives on cross-cultural communication and practical ways to engage with our neighbors across the street and around the world.

Brave Enough to Love the Stranger

Thursday, January 24, 7:15-9:00 p.m., Concourse

Presented by Allison Gaskins, Michelle Knott, Cheryl McKeon and Elizabeth Rice

How can we serve and reach out to others in love? How can we open our homes when they’re messy and full of crabby people? How can our families reach out to strangers when we’re still figuring out how to love each other? Come for a realistic and open-minded discussion about the strength and hope we have in Jesus Christ and how to share His love with “strangers” at home and abroad.

Brave Enough to Look Within: Spring Cleaning for the Soul

Thursday, January 31, 7:15-9:00 p.m., Concourse

Presented by Barbara Ryan

Psalm 51:6 reads:, “Thou desirest truth in the inward being.” Do you know the truth about the residual darkness in your heart? Unacknowledged sin clogs the arteries of our souls, whereas confession and repentance lead to greater freedom and joy. In this seminar we'll look at the inward sins, the dark dispositions of our hearts that eventuate in outward sins, and we'll learn how to declare war on besetting weaknesses in our flesh.
