ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Bill Oosterman was born in Lancaster, PA, and raised in several states in a committed Christian family which took church history and American history seriously. Raised on the creeds, liturgy, and catechism of the Christian Reformed Church, he studied Greek and Latin at Calvin College, and later, linguistics and history. Bill worked and taught in Malaysia, Korea, and China.

Since returning to the U.S., Bill has worked as an editor and translator, while keeping up a studio for antique and book conservation. He is presently transcribing/translating the early church records of the German Reformed Classics in Virginia and writing a book on the Thirty Years’ War. Other interests include music, Civil War, and wildlife. Bill has worshiped at The Falls Church (Anglican) on and off since 1990.
