Election of our Next Bishop 2022

This past summer, the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic committee responsible for receiving and considering names for possible election as our next bishop announced the slate of candidates for bishop. They are:

  • The Rev. David M. Hanke, Rector, Restoration Anglican Church, Arlington, Virginia

  • The Rev. Patrick A. Ware, Rector, Grace Anglican Church, Winchester, Virginia

  • The Rev. Christopher S. Warner, Rector, Church of the Holy Cross, Sullivan’s Island and Daniel Island, South Carolina

On October 15, 2022, clergy and lay delegates from the Diocese will attend an Electing Synod where they will vote to elect the next bishop. The lay delegates from The Falls Church Anglican are:

In preparation for the Electing Synod, the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic invites you to a prayer service on October 14 at 7 p.m. at All Saints’ Church in Woodbridge, VA. The service will include directed prayers, small group prayer, worship, and evening compline. You are invited to attend in person or via livestream.
