Like Lydia: Building Community in the Body of Christ
What does it look like to build authentic community? Is it different in the church? How might I join in? Come hear a panel of TFCA women share the what, the how, and especially the why of hospitality in their faith. Confirmed panelists are: Morna Comeau, Gayle Fuller, Kylie Hoover, Lindsay Simmons, Jessica Swanson
And after [Lydia] was baptized, and her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” Acts 16:14-15
Our evening together will also include worship and a time of fellowship following the program. Click here to learn more and register
Let’s get together for a casual dinner or brunch and connect with new and old friends!
You will be matched with five (or more!) women who (ideally!) live near you. Group assignments will be emailed by June 12, and then it is up to your group to coordinate schedules, hosting and potluck logistics at least twice this summer.
Join this opportunity to meet more women in our church and be blessed by connecting with one another.
Registration closes on June 9. Pack assignments will be emailed on June 12.
Women’s Ministry is hosting a series of book clubs in June and July. Each evening gathering will include a presentation about the specific book listed for that date, followed by small group discussion and fellowship. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. in the "Back 40" - 3rd floor of 6565. Click here to learn more and register.
Advent. A season of waiting as we prepare for the arrival and celebration of Jesus and his birth. How do we pause and embrace this time, deepening our awareness of God's presence with us?
You are invited to come away for a few hours. With artwork, music, prayer and stillness, we will look, listen and settle in to enjoy rhythms of reflection and release as we, like John the Baptist, cry out in the wilderness, 'prepare the way for the Lord' and receive Jesus.
"Living in the Glow of His Presence this Advent" led by TFCA’s own Julie Carmean.
During Advent, we remember the waiting and miracles around the birth of our Lord Jesus, while also balancing a flurry of Christmas preparations and demands, often yearning for glimmers of beauty and pause. How might we attend to each moment of this Holy Season of the “now and not yet” Kingdom life, with hearts of hope, peace, fruitfulness, and most of all His Presence? Come to this women’s Advent evening and be encouraged for the Advent season with worship, reflection and fellowship.
Our total hike time will be between 2.5 – 3 hours (about 4 miles) and will mostly be along water with some ascents. Detailed information about the hike can be found HERE.
Join us on Monday, September 9 at 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary, followed by a dessert reception, and hear from Hannah Wegmann as she shares a message on "Lawless: Finding Freedom in the Fruit of the Spirit."
Often we see the fruit of the Spirit as an impossible checklist, a way to gauge where we are excelling and falling short in our walk with Christ. But what if instead we understood this list as an encouragement to freedom for those of us no longer under the law of sin? We will revisit the fruit and discuss what a life lived in step with the Spirit looks like.
Join the women of the church at our retreat March 15-17 in Annapolis. Registration closes February 26th.
Come enjoy the classic chick-flick Pride and Prejudice (2005) on the big screen!
Come prepare your heart for the Advent season fellowship and reflection led by TFCA’s own Caryn Dixon.
Though the season of Advent invites a waiting and a wondering, for many of us it’s a season of lists, activities and a headlong scramble toward the celebration of Christmas! Where’s the joy? Where’s the comfort? Where’s the peace and how did we miss it? This year, as we make space for our hearts to notice Jesus, with us, come away a while and enjoy a little quiet, spaciousness and rest. Come and prepare your heart to receive, once again, the new born King.
Join us for a fall hike in beautiful Sky Meadows State Park!
Please Note: This hike is not for beginners. Our total hike time will be between 2.5 – 3 hours.
PLEASE CLICK HERE for registration information. A liability waiver is required with your registration.
Missed the Transformed Conference? Attended the conference, but your schedule didn’t allow to attend all the presentations you wanted to hear? Here is an opportunity to revisit the seminars, presented by parishioners of TFCA, that were offered at our recent Transformed Conference! All are welcome whether you attended the conference or not! Click here for more information and to register.
Come prepare your heart for the Advent season through fellowship, worship, giving and encouragement from TFCA’s own Rebecca Good! Rebecca will share the life-giving Advent message, "From Darkness to Light" as we consider God’s piercing of the darkness of humanity with the light of His Son Jesus.
Mark your calendars for Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. for a livestream and in-person women’s event where we’ll be joined by our own Elizabeth Rice to be encouraged and challenged for the year ahead. Questions? Email Anne Fitzpatrick, afitzpatrick@tfcanglican.org. REGISTER HERE.
